The valley of alpine pastures
This is the name the Großarltal Valley is affectionately given because of its many mountain pastures. You can reach them on foot, by hiking taxi or cable car. Lush meadows, picturesque mountain lakes, tranquil forests and interesting themed trails lie along the way. And once you've done it, dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn and a good glass of wine taste all the better.

We are happy to help you plan your tours and share tips for the best destinations during your hiking holiday in Austria. Guests at our hiking hotel in Großarl can also borrow hiking poles, backpacks, child carriers, and a booklet on alpine pastures and mountain lakes free of charge. Upon your return, you can prepare your hiking boots for the next day using our boot dryer.
