What else winter has to offer

Hear nothing but the soft jingling of bells and the snorting of horses as snow-covered forests and meadows glide past. A romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride in the Großarl valley feels like stepping back in time. Rides can be arranged from Großarl or Hüttschlag to the end of the valley.

Around 35 km of cleared winter hiking paths wind through Großarl and Hüttschlag, leading from the valley to higher-altitude farms. The ascent to the starting point of our private toboggan run is also ideal for a winter hike. The return journey is faster, as your toboggan awaits you at the top of the run.

30 kilometres of cross-country trails meander through a tranquil, snowy wonderland. A classic and partially skating-style trail begins in Großarl and extends towards Hüttschlag, where an illuminated night trail operates three evenings a week. Additionally, a cross-country skiing school is available in the village.
