The walk to Bichlalm takes approx. 2 hours and 45 minutes. Alternatively, you can drive to the car park, from which the walk takes about 2 hours.
Walking time from Bichlalm to the Remsteinkopf is another 30 minutes.
The Gerstreitalm is easily reachable on foot via the Sonnseitweg and the Güterweg Vorderstadluck. Walking time: approx. 2 hours.
The highest alpine pasture in Großarltal lies at the foot of Saukarkopf. You can reach it on foot via the Sonnseitweg and the Güterweg Vorderstadluck, continuing over the Gerstreitalm to Saukaralm. Total walking time: approx. 3 hours.
A special natural gem, the Trögseen, lies below Gründegg in the Ellmautal. This scenic hike begins at the Grundlehen car park. Tip: the ascent to Gründegg is well worth the effort. Walking time: approx. 2.5 hours from the car park.
